Private classes

I offer private and remedial one-to-one classes either in a fully equipped studio in Charlbury or I can come to your own home. Please call me on 01608-819049 or e-mail me to discuss.
 

Public Classes

At the moment I am offering two public classes. (I prefer it if you call me on 01608-819049 or e-mail me to let me know if you are intending to come so I can judge numbers.) There is a reduction of £1 per class as a concessionary rate.

MONDAYS, 10.00 A.M. - 11.30 A.M., CHARLBURY
New term starts 11th January 2010 – 11 classes in total with last class on 29th March. No class 15th February (for half-term).
Location: The Methodist Church Hall, Fishers Lane. See map.
Level: Complete beginners to general level
Price: £37.50 for five weeks and then £45 for six weeks or £8.50 drop-in (I prefer people to pay by term if possible).

TUESDAYS, 7.30 P.M. - 9.00 P.M., OXFORD

What to expect

Iyengar Yoga classes are suitable for any adult age and all levels of fitness - you do not have to be flexible to practise Yoga. You must however inform me of any injuries or medical conditions prior to starting a class. Please do not have a large meal prior to class (ideally leave four hours to digest a full meal) nor have a drink immediately before a class.

A class will involve a variety of different postures - standing, sitting, inverted and relaxing. Iyengar Yoga is a strong exercise but emphasis is placed on precision and safety.

Simple props are used such as blocks and belts to help one achieve improvement in certain postures. The class is performed with bare feet and clothing that does not impede movement is recommended. Please bring a Yoga mat if you have one and any other Yoga props if you have them. A simple blanket is also useful. (I can supply mats and props to purchase or visit www.yogamatters.com or www.yogamad.com to order online.)
